Expo day 2018

Today we had our project expo to showcase the IMY 300 games. It was a great atmosphere and we are very proud of all the hard work put in by the students.

The prizes awarded were as follows:

  • Best booth: Straight Up Dumpling (Ray Leong)
  • Best games:
    • 1st prize: Stranded by Bathtub Gaming (Monica Oleastro, Kyle Oosthuizen, Paul Wood)
    • 2nd prize: Moonwalker by Straight Up Dumpling (Ray Leong)
    • 3rd prize: Psycat by The Loneliest Number (Michaela van Zyl)

IMY 211 – Best 3ds Max animation assignments

For the practical component of  IMY 211, the students are given an introduction to the workflow of 3ds Max. This culminates in a short animation of a robotic character which they have modelled, textured, rigged, lit and animated themselves.
